Die Punch it Newcomer Challenge

Punchit Internatinal MuayThai Newcomer Challenge 2020

Wir, das Punch it Gym auf Koh Samui, veranstalten jährlich die internationale Punch it Newcomer Challenge – gemeinsam mit CHOK! Magazine. CHOK!

Punch it Newcomer Challenge 2021 Update.

There are hundreds of opportunities to fight Muaythai in Thailand - every day. At temple events, in local or regional stadiums, at shopping malls, in bars or at tourist clubs or shows and of course in the major stadiums in Bangkok. Every opportunity offers a different challenge, different circumstances and naturally, also very different levels.

Please stop celebrating "beating a Thai" just because you beat a Thai. This is not a measure of your ability, nor is it something of valor per se. Of value is when you are constantly improving your skills, learning from the best and measuring yourself against relevant and carefully matchmaked opponents along the way.

Beating a taxi driver, an old fighter, a young, inexperienced or just plain bad Muaythai fighter that happens to be a Thai, is nothing to be proud about.

It's a bit like visiting Japan, swordfighting with a random Japanese, winning and telling everyone you beat a Ninja. Not everyone in Japan is a Ninja. Most are of course, but not everyone. 😂

In 2021, the Punch it Newcomer Challenge will be back, watch out for more infos soon.

2020 tournament series finally cancelled.

The final scheduled event for this year, planned in Wels, Austria on September 19th, has now also been forced to reschedule. The ongoing international problems caused by Covid-19 and the current travel status announcements regarding Thailand have finally put an end to this year's planning. Germany, Czech Republic, Australia and now Austria have all called off this year's qualification 4-mans.

We will be back in 2021!
